Gov’t assures that implementation of new digital systems in public service provides opportunities for new jobs
The Government has assured that the implementation of new digital systems in the public service provides opportunities for new jobs.
This from Minister with responsibility for Efficiency, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Ambassador Audrey Marks, at yesterday’s post cabinet press briefing.
She announced the implementation of a new Electronic Signature and Records Policy to standardise secure digital transactions across Government at the briefing.
Questions were raised about job loss due to implementation of technology.
Ambassador Marks said affected workers are encouraged to up-skill, so that they can take on new roles and responsibilities.
In the meantime Education Minister Dr Dana Morris Dixon reminded that workers who want to up skill can access training at HEART/NSTA Trust.
