Government to revamp plastic ban public education campaign
The Government will be revamping its public education campaign on the plastic ban, which was implemented three years ago.
Minister with Responsibility for the Environment, Matthew Samuda, gave an update on the plastic ban in the Senate.
He noted that the revamped public education campaign will ensure the gains made under the ban are not eroded.
Mr. Samuda said the plastic ban has been a success so far.
Mr. Samuda added that the compliance rate, at over 16 thousand point-of-sale sites across Jamaica, has consistently been above 90 per cent.
