Government to address issues relating to “orphan roads”
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government will soon address issues relating to orphan roads.
Orphan roads are located in housing subdivisions and are not owned by the government.
Mr. Holness notes residents’ concerns about the state of these roads.
The Prime Minister says the standard of construction of roads in subdivisions, among other issues will be addressed.
In the meantime, Mr. Holness reiterates the need for the single administration of the country’s roads.
He says work has begun to create a single register of roads to which the public will have access.
