Government launches comprehensive campaign to transform Jamaica’s driving culture and reduce road fatalities
“Jamaica can be accident free.”
That’s the declaration from Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Prime Minister Andrew Holness at a meeting yesterday, as he launched a comprehensive campaign to transform Jamaica’s driving culture and reduce road fatalities.
The campaign follows a recent spate of road crashes across the island, which claimed several children’s lives.
While praising the police for their increased enforcement efforts, Mr. Holness emphasized that enforcement alone is insufficient.
He stressed the need for a comprehensive campaign, to enhance awareness and improve road safety practices among motorists.
