Government allocates additional $1.5B to REACH road rehabilitation programme
The government has allocated an additional $1.5 b to the REACH emergency road rehabilitation programme.
Works Minister Robert Morgan said this is to complete the work started under the Relief Emergency Assistance and Community Help (REACH) programme as at yesterday, the first day of the financial year.
Morgan said the National Works Agency will spend the funds on road rehabilitation through the quarterly patching programme, over the next three months.
He noted that over $8 b was spent on road works, during the last fiscal year.
