Government aiming to start work on 100 roads under the SPARK programme by the end of this financial year

The government is set to announce 100 roads on which work will be done under the SPARK programme in the next three months.

Speaking during this morning’s post-Cabinet press briefing, Works Minister Robert Morgan said the 45 billion-dollar Shared Prosperity Through Accelerated Improvement to Our Road Network Programme (SPARK) is underway.

He also revealed that 40 roads to be worked on will be disclosed next week.

The remaining 60 roads will be announced in the coming months.

He said SPARK is taking some time to “ignite” because the government does not intend on wasting taxpayers’ money.

Over 600 roads are being targeted under SPARK.
