Governing JLP describes today’s protest by Opposition as vulgar and inappropriate
The governing Jamaica Labour Party has described today’s protest by the Opposition as vulgar and inappropriate.
JLP Spokesperson Senator Abka Fitz-Henely condemned the protest at a press conference this morning, which he said was called to address matters concerning governance, in particular the appointment of Dennis Chung as Chief Technical Director of the Financial Investigation Division (FID).
He noted that the PNP has resisted the appointment of Mr. Chung, who was appointed by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
Senator Fitz-Henley said the protest is tantamount to a vulgar attack on the PSC.
He said the Government will not be bullied to act inappropriately.
