Golding criticizes gov’t’s handling of crime, says PNP will do better
President of the Opposition People’s National Party, PNP Mark Golding has again pledged that when the party forms the next government, it will be more efficient in tackling issues with health, education, and national security.
While addressing party supporters in Albert Town, Trelawny on Thursday Mr. Golding criticised the governing Jamaica Labour Party.
Mr. Golding cited the deadly mass shooting in Clarendon on Sunday and chastised the government for using the same approach to crime and violence.
He promised that the next PNP government will ensure that the police force has the necessary resources to fight crime and violence.
He reiterated that education is the antidote to poverty, noting that a PNP government will prioritise this.
