Golding calls on government to make Jamaica comfortable for citizens
Opposition leader and President of the People’s National Party Mark Golding has called on the government to focus on the issues in the health and education sectors which he says are impacting the island.
According to Mr. Golding, the education sector is going through a difficult time.
He said the health system is also in shambles.
Mr. Golding again highlighted the poor performance of many of the island’s students as well as the poor service being provided to citizens at the island’s health facilities.
He said these issues have pushed citizens to migrate with others planning to do the same.
However, Mr. Golding said the government has a responsibility to address these concerns to make the country comfortable so that citizens can want to stay in Jamaica.
He was speaking at a PNP candidate presentation ceremony in North West St. Elizabeth on Saturday.
