Golden Age Home gets centralized storage facility; Gov’t pledges necessary facilities to ensure optimum operation
Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie says he has to ensure that entities like the Vineyard Town Golden Age Home in Kingston have the necessary facilities to ensure optimum operation.
He made the comment during the opening ceremony for a storage facility at the golden age home yesterday.
He said the storage facility is the latest phase in a series of developmental works being done to the home.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Kingston, Andrew Swaby described the addition of the storage facility as an act of vision.
Permanent secretary in the Health Ministry, Errol Green, who also serves as Chairman of the home, expressed satisfaction at the progress of the works being carried out.
