Glenmuir and St. Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) will meet to crown this year’s ISSA DaCosta Cup champion after both schools booked their places in the final with hard-fought semi-final victories at Sabina Park on Wednesday.

The highly anticipated match-up is a repeat of the 2012 DaCosta Cup final and was confirmed after Glenmuir and STETHS overcame Dinthill Technical and Kemps Hill High respectively to remain on course for silverware.

Glenmuir, contesting the opening semi-final, secured their spot with a dramatic come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Dinthill. After a scoreless first half, Dinthill struck first in the 47th minute when Omanie Morrison found the net to give the Lenworth Hyde-coached side the lead.

However, Glenmuir captain Orane Watson delivered an inspired performance, scoring twice to turn the contest on its head. Watson equalised in the 63rd minute before sealing the win deep into stoppage time with a decisive strike in the 92nd minute.

The result keeps the reigning ISSA Champions Cup holders firmly on track for a fourth DaCosta Cup title.

In the second semi-final, five-time winners STETHS advanced after grinding out a 1-0 victory over first-time semi-finalists Kemps Hill. The lone goal came in the 48th minute courtesy of Kenoy Banton, whose strike proved enough to separate the teams in a tightly contested affair.

The 2025 ISSA DaCosta Cup final is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. kick-off at the National Stadium on Saturday.

The showpiece event will be preceded by the final of the ISSA Ben Francis Cup, which enters its semi-final phase on Thursday. Clarendon College will face Manning’s School in semi-final one at the STETHS Complex in Santa Cruz, while semi-final two at Drax Hall will see Cornwall College opposing McGrath.
