Governor General Sir Patrick Allen has urged Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness to lead Jamaica with clarity, conviction and compassion.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony yesterday, Sir Patrick noted the strides made in the country, particularly in the economy, while acknowledging that more needs to be done to tackle crime and inequality.

Sir Patrick noted that leadership is a responsibility.

He also noted the importance of the Cabinet ministers who will be sworn in today as well as the lawmakers who will resume sittings at Gordon House on Thursday.
