JAAA President Garth Gayle was among a group of 126 Jamaicans honoured at yesterday’s National honours and Awards Ceremony at Kings House.

Gayle who was recognized for his contribution to the field of sports locally and internationally was one of 27 to be appointed to the Border of Distinction in the rank of commander. 

The list of 27 also included veteran administrator David Mais who was honoured for his contribution to the development of sports, education and community development .

Also honoured were Olympian Dr. Una Morris for her contribution to track and field national coach Sandra Riettie for contribution to table tennis and the development of young athletes.

Both were among 36 appointed to order of distinction in the rank of officer.
