The funds donated to the Government’s official disaster relief platform has increased to J$556 million.

Director General of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), Commander Alvin Gayle made the disclosure during a press briefing yesterday.

This is in comparison to the more than 540 million donated last week.

In the meantime, he said over 115,000 care packages were delivered to citizens as at yesterday.

He added that more than 1.3 million meals have also been delivered by the world central kitchen.
