The Fullerswood Main Road in St. Elizabeth has been blocked by residents protesting the lack of electricity in the area.

Irie Fm News understands that residents used trees, stones and other debris to mount the road blocks resulting in the roadway being impassable.

Head of the Division, Superintendent Coleridge Minto, advised that the police are on the scene and maintaining a presence, as well as awaiting additional support to have the roadway cleared.

As a result, motorists are being advised to expect some delays in the area.

Residents across St. Elizabeth have been protesting for several days, demanding the restoration of electricity.
