Former education minister expresses concern over repetitive stance surrounding sector’s reform process
A Former Education Minister has expressed concern over what she describes as the repetitive stance, surrounding the sector’s reform process.
Maxine Henry-Wilson is pleading with the Ministry to establish a system where genuine consultation is conducted with all stakeholders, and not just the Opposition.
She said without consensus from all aspects of society, the country’s education system cannot move forward.
According to the former Education Minister, policies which were previously implemented to address the Ministry’s issues were not allowed to mature.
She pointed to similarities between a 2021 policy report and one done in 2004.
