Former champions Dallas Mavericks a game away from the NBA finals
Former champions Dallas Mavericks are a game away from the NBA finals.
It comes after they battled to a 116-107 over the Minnesota Timberwolves to take a commanding 3-nil win in their Western conference finals series.
Leading the way were Luka Koncic and Kyrie Irving who scored 33 points apiece……..while combining for 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting in the 4th quarter, where they outscored the entire Minnesota team by a point.
They were aided by PJ Washington who tallied 16 points and 8 rebounds while Anthony Edwards had a team-high 26 points in a losing cause for the visitors.
Game 4 is in Dallas tomorrow…….victory for the Mavericks would see them completing a 4-nil sweep and advance to the finals for the first time since claiming the title in 2011.
