Five parishes remain under a flash flood watch
Five parishes remain under a flash flood watch.
They are St. Mary, Portland, St. Catherine, Clarendon and Manchester.
The watch remains in effect until 7:00 P.M. today.
A flash flood watch means that flash flooding is possible, and residents should take precautionary measures.
The Met Service says the watch is due to a trough across parts of the Caribbean which has been generating unstable weather conditions across Jamaica since Friday.
As a result, showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times are expected to continue across Jamaica until tomorrow evening.
