Firefighters are still battling a blaze along Charles Street and Luke Lane in Downtown Kingston.

At least five houses are reported to be affected.

Head of Fire and Risk Cooperation at the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Deputy Commissioner Warren Malcolm, told IRIE FM News that firefighters responded to the blaze at 8: 54 AM.

He said, though the fire has not been extinguished, it has been contained, with the use of four units.
