A fire which gutted a section of a building in Kingston this morning (July 21), has been extinguished.
The fire at the business establishment at 12 Premiere Plaza reportedly began shortly after 11 a–m.
Public Relations Officer at the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emelio Ebanks said 5 units responded to the blaze.
He said firefighters are now doing their assessments, including determining the cause of the fire.
And, in a separate incident, several people have been left homeless, after fire gutted their homes on Norman Crescent in Kingston, earlier this afternoon.
Mr. Ebanks said the brigade received a call about the fire, shortly after 3 p-m.
He said firefighters are still trying to get that blaze under control.
