Firefighters are now working to control a blaze at the Pearnel Charles Arcade in Downtown, Kingston.

Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Stewart Beckford, told Irie Fm News that three units are on location to battle the blaze.

Vendors are reportedly trying to salvage goods from stalls.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
