A section of the Oracabessa Police Station in St. Mary was destroyed by fire, last evening. 

The fire began some time around 8 p-m.

Fire personnel from the Port Maria Fire Station responded to the blaze and brought the fire under control at around 9:15 pm.

There was no immediate report of injury.
