Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke says Lynk’s ABM feature another step towards greater financial access through technology
Finance minister Dr Nigel Clarke has indicated that Lynk‘s ABM cash in / cash out feature, is another step towards giving more people, access to financial services, using technology.
Lynk has partnered with the National Commercial Bank, in providing the system, which will allow persons who have Lynk wallets, and who may, or may not, have a bank account, to use NCB‘s Automated Banking Machines, islandwide, to deposit, or withdraw, money.
Speaking at the launch ceremony on Tuesday, Dr Clarke pointed to the evolution of banking practices, from traditional, to digital.
He noted that effort must be made, to include more people, in the digital economy.
He said implementation of Jam-dex, the central bank’s digital currency, is part of the governments push, to lay the framework for digital transactions.
