Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke has lauded the Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) for efforts made in improving service to clients.

He cited as an example the recent implementation of an online portal, which allows persons to renew their motor vehicle registration certificate.

Dr. Clarke said this change is monumental, as previously, tax offices would be crowded, and motorists waited long hours to do in-person transactions related to motor vehicle registration.

He added that $11 billion has been allocated for improving tax offices across the island. 

The improvements will resolve space challenges at the offices.
