FIFA announces dynamic pricing for 2026 World Cup Tickets
Football fans hoping to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals will face a new ticketing system, as world governing body FIFA has confirmed that dynamic pricing will be in effect during the first phase of sales.
The approach means that ticket costs will vary based on market demand and seat selection, a method commonly used in major sporting and entertainment events.
Supporters will get their first opportunity to secure tickets during the Visa Presale Draw, which opens on September 10 and runs until September 19.
The presale will be available exclusively to qualifying Visa cardholders who can enter the presale draw by logging into their FIFA accounts during the entry period. A randomized selection will allocate time slots for ticket purchases, though FIFA emphasized that a successful draw entry did not guarantee ticket availability.
According to FIFA’s statement, prices for group-stage matches will begin at USD $60, while tickets for the tournament’s later stages—including the highly anticipated final—could cost as much as USD $6,730.
An official resale platform will be also introduced by FIFA later this year, allowing ticket holders to resell their tickets securely. For Mexican residents, FIFA has partnered with PROFECO to offer a resale platform that complies with local legislation, allowing tickets to be sold at their original face value.
The 2026 World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams and will be jointly hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, marking the largest edition of the tournament in its history.
