Father and daughter killed after Jamaican-bound relief aid plane, crashed in Florida yesterday
A father and his daughter were killed when a small plane carrying hurricane relief supplies to Jamaica crashed in Coral Springs, Florida, in the United States yesterday.
According to AP News, the deceased are 53-year-old Christian missionary Alexander Wurm and 22-year-old Serena Wurm.
Speaking at a press briefing this morning, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz said prior to take-off, an application had been received for hurricane relief supplies to be transported to Jamaica by the aircraft.
U.S. media report that the small plane was heading to the island when it crashed around 10:20 A.M.
Minister Vaz extended condolences to the families of the deceased, noting that Mr. Wurm was known as a kind and generous individual.
