Family and well-wishers bid farewell to reggae veteran Cocoa Tea
Family, friends, members of the entertainment fraternity and well-wishers turned out today to bid farewell to veteran reggae star ‘Colvin Cocoa Tea’ Scott.
Cocoa tea passed away last month, after ailing from cancer.
He was 65 years old.
While delivering the eulogy Shaquille Scott, son of Cocoa Tea said his father was multitalented and a good parent.
He said before he ventured into his music career he was a mason, fisherman and even a race horse jockey.
Cocoa tea is known for songs such as ‘Lost my Sonia’, ‘Young Lover’, ‘She loves me now’ and ‘Holy Mount Zion.
