Reggae songstress Etana is attempting to clear the air about her recent collaboration with Beenie Man dubbed ‘Guide Over Us.’
There are sections of social media who have dubbed the song, which has garnered over 4 million views already, as an attempt to throw shade on other contenders for the King of the Dancehall title.
However, speaking with IRIE FM today, she said it was by pure coincidence that the collab produced by Kemar Flava McGregor came to be.
A laughing Etana said the song was not intended to throw shade on other artistes. She argues that there is no need for comparisons with the ongoing King of the Dancehall debate.
Meanwhile, she also revealed she is working on a largescale project with fellow dancehall artiste Mr. Vegas. Though tightlipped on the project, she says one of the singles called “Trapped” will be released this Friday.
