Manchester City’s goal scoring star and record breaker Erling Haaland has been named the English premier league player of the season.

He has also been named the premier league’s young player of the season. 

Haaland scored an outstanding 36 goals in 35 league games during his debut campaign at the Premier League champions and also has eight top-flight assists to his name.

The Norwegian, who was named the football writers’ association footballer of the year earlier this week, now holds the record for the most goals scored in a 38-game premier league season.

Haaland could have the chance to add to his premier league tally when Pep Guardiola’s side end the league campaign at Brentford on Sunday.

City will then turn their attention to trying to win a historic treble with Manchester United and Inter Milan to come in the Fa Cup and champions league finals respectively.

Haaland and company… lifted the Premier League title last weekend after defeating Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.
