Entertainment fraternity grieves with Usain Bolt, following his father’s death
Members of the entertainment fraternity continue to send condolences to sprint legend/ music producer, Usain Bolt following the death of his father Wellesley Bolt.
Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange leads the charge in paying tribute to the senior Bolt. In a release, Minister Grange while offering condolence, said she found Mr Bolt to be an exceptional and passionate father who was invested in the success of his family, adding that every success Usain has achieved can be attributed to the confidence given to him by his ever supportive mother and father, she encouraged the family to be comforted by the memory of a very good father.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness also paid tribute to Usain’s father, referring to Wellesley Bolt as “the father of a global icon and a strong force behind one of Jamaica’s greatest sons.” In offering condolences, he assured Usain that the prayers and support of the entire nation is with him and his family as they mourn the loss of their patriarch.
Meanwhile, Kevin Downswell, Lisa Hanna, Aston Barrett Jr, and Razor B are among the online users showing support to Usain on the loss of his father. In the comment section of a social media post, they each left comforting words accompanied by the praying heart and dove emojis.
On Monday March 31, the nation was plunged into mourning after news surfaced that Wellesley Bolt had died following a lengthy illness. He was 68 years old.
