As they begin to batten down and brace for hurricane Beryl as it sets it sights on Jamaica, several entertainers are urging Jamaicans to take it seriously and prepare.
Speaking with Music News today, Entertainer and social media influencer Wayne Marshall said he was only 8 years old when Gilbert hit yet he still remembers the devastation. As he prepares with his family for Beryl, he is urging Jamaicans to keep the community spirit alive with each one helping one.
Meanwhile, dancehall artiste badgyal Cecile gave Music News some insight into her preparations in full swing. She is also urging Jamaicans not to be complacent.
Jamaica is expected to feel the brunt of Beryl early Wednesday if it continues on the same trajectory.
