Emergency teams locate plane that crashed in Highgate, St. Mary
Emergency teams have located the crash site where a small plane went down in Highgate, St Mary, this morning (May 5).
Two people who were on board the aircraft have been airlifted to hospital.
Emergency response teams from the Jamaica Fire Brigade, the Jamaica Defence Force and the Constabulary assisted in the search efforts to locate the plane.
Residents have gathered in the area, which is heavily forested.
Acting Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Rohan Campbell, told Irie FM News that the plane left the Ian Fleming Airport at about 10 this morning.
