Eleven families receive homes under New Social Housing Programme
Prime Minister Andrew Holness handed over 11 homes to citizens under the new social housing programme, this week.
This, as the government seeks to scale up the programme, which was developed to improve the housing condition of the country’s poor and disadvantaged.
Speaking at the handing over of the latest home under the project in Manchester, yesterday (December 16), Mr. Holness noted that there are approximately 6,000 indigent people in need of homes across the country.
He stressed that the selection process is a fair one.
The Prime Minister added that the programme is an example of government acting in the right way.
