A 76-year-old woman was mowed down in Falmouth, Trelawny yesterday.

The deceased is Joan Taylor, a retired social worker of Green Park, Trelawny.

Police say about 1:00 P.M., Taylor was walking along Trelawny Street when the driver of a Honda Civic reportedly lost control of the vehicle and hit her.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
