An elderly woman died in a house fire in Spanish town, St. Catherine yesterday. 

She is 94-year-old Olganese Chambers-Taylor of Corlette Road, Spanish town, St. Catherine.

Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that at about 12:45 P.M., residents saw smoke coming from the house. 

The police and the fire department were contacted. 

The charred remains of the elderly woman were found after the fire was extinguished.

The remains of Chambers-Taylor were removed to the morgue pending post-mortem.

Investigations are ongoing.
