Elaine Thompson-Herah to clash with several Americans at Tom Jones Memorial Invitational
Double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah will clash with several Americans at the Tom Jones memorial invitational in Florida tomorrow.
Thompson -Herah the second fastest woman alive over 100 metres, will race in the 200 meters against Melissa Jefferson, Kyra Constantine, and Maia Mccoy on the Percy Beard Track, at the University of Florida Campus.
This will be Thompson-Herah’s first 200 metres of the season following two 60-meter victories earlier this year, including one indoor race, and she also ran a 400-meter event in Kingston at the john Wolmers Speed Fest where she finished fifth.
Meanwhile the other Jamaican at the meet will be the mixed relay Olympic bronze medalist Junelle Bromfield, a former training partner of Thompson-Herah at MVP track club.
