The Education Ministry is reporting that more students at the primary school level are participating in the National Summer School Programme when compared to those at the high school level.
The National Summer School Programme is a four-week initiative implemented by the Ministry to help students across Jamaica recover from the learning loss experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It began on July 4 and will end on Thursday, July 28.
Students’ participation in the programme is not mandatory.
In providing an update to IRIE FM news this morning (July 26), Education Minister, Fayval Williams said up to last week, approximately six thousand students across Jamaica had participated in the face-to-face component of the programme.
