Education Ministry Receives Preliminary Report on Stabbing of Jamaica College Student in Half-Way Tree

The Education Ministry, has received a preliminary report on the stabbing, of a Jamaica College student in Half-Way Tree yesterday.

Portfolio Minister, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon provided the update at a post-Cabinet, press briefing this morning.

Reports suggest, that the teenager was stabbed by other students during an altercation.

He was rushed to hospital, where he remains admitted.

Dr. Morris Dixon said the Ministry is awaiting further details and is communicating with administrators at Jamaica College.

She says the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is probing the matter.
