Education Ministry providing support to schools affected by recent tragic incidents
Education and Youth Minister, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon says support is being provided to students and staff of schools affected by recent tragic incidents.
On Monday, police discovered the mutilated and burnt body of 13-year-old Christiana High student, Shantina Sergeant at her home along the Manchester / Clarendon border.
On Sunday, 4-year-old Rosemount Primary student Shannon Gordon, was shot and killed by gunmen in Commodore Linstead, St. Catherine.
An 11-year-old was shot and wounded in the same incident.
Expressing sadness at the incidents, Dr. Morris Dixon said her ministry will continue to provide support to the affected school communities.
