Education Minister Fayval Williams says violence is not normal and is not the way to settle disputes and disagreements.

She was speaking at Kingston Technical High school on Monday morning, where she met with staff and students, following the stabbing death of fifth form student Michion Campbell last Thursday.

The alleged attacker, another student was later taken into custody.

The education minister said Monday was a sad day, noting there have been several sad days.

She said the ministry would provide support for the school to help both students and parents.
