Of the island’s 1009 public, primary and secondary schools, only two are yet to engage students, for the new school year.

Education Minister, Fayval Williams gave the update during a post Cabinet press conference this morning.

Several schools sustained damage during the passage of Hurricane Beryl on July 3 and this contributed to their delayed reopening.

Mrs. Williams said these schools are set to reopen next Monday.
