Education Minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon has asked school boards and principals to assess their local conditions carefully, in light of Tropical Storm Melissa. 

In a release last evening, the Education Minister noted that there is no directive for school closures at this time. 

However, she stated that school boards and principals should make decisions about school operations in consultation with their regional directors.
