Dr. Tufton insists recording of K.D. Knight played at recent rally 100% genuine, not intimidated by threat of legal action

Jamaica Labour Party Campaign Committee Chairman, Dr. Christopher Tufton has rejected K.D. Knight’s claim that a recording of him, which was played at a JLP mass rally in Half-Way-Tree, St. Andrew on Sunday is fake or altered.

Mr. Knight, who was a Minister in the former People’s National Party (PNP) Government, has threatened legal action against the JLP, Dr. Tufton and all parties involved in the creation and dissemination of the recording.

He rejects any suggestion that he believes PNP President Mark Golding is unfit to lead the country.

According to Mr. Knight, the recording was altered, and the words are a deliberate concoction designed to deceive the public and tarnish his reputation.

However, Dr. Tufton insists that the tape which was played during his speech at the rally is 100 per cent genuine.

The Campaign Committee Chairman also noted that he is not intimidated by any threat of legal action.

Dr. Tufton said he is disappointed in Mr. Knight’s reaction.
