Don Wehby has resigned as a Senator, effective today.

His resignation follows a recent announcement regarding his temporary leave of absence from Grace Kennedy for health reasons.

Mr. Wehby is the Chief Executive Officer of Grace Kennedy Group.

In a letter to Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Mr. Wehby conveyed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve under his leadership, since 2016.

He said it has been an honour to contribute to the nation’s progress.

Mr. Wehby’s resignation has pushed the number of vacancies for government members in the Senate to 2.

This following Matthew Samuda’s resignation in September.
