Disabled school children welcome specialized vehicle under rural school bus system
Disabled school children, who will have access to a special needs vehicle, under the rural school bus system, have noted that their commute will now be more comfortable and efficient.
This was highlighted by Anissa Allen, who uses a wheelchair, during a demonstration event, in Manchester.
Ms. Allen pointed out that in the past, she had difficulty using regular public transport, resulting in missed classes, but with this special bus, come September, she will be able to attend school more often.
Meantime, Transport Minister Daryl Vaz stressed that safety has always been the priority of the rural school bus system.
He said the confidence boost given to Ms. Allen, knowing that by September she will have a more reliable and safer public transportation system, is inspiring.
Vaz urged citizens to provide constructive suggestions on how the government can build on the initiative, for future generations to benefit.
He also urged citizens to not allow divisive politics and tribalism to derail progressive policies.
