Digicel & Flow say approximately two-thirds of their mobile customers are back online

The island’s telecommunications providers, Digicel and Flow, have both indicated that approximately two-thirds of their mobile customers are back online.

Cell and landline services were disrupted during the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

Representatives of the telecommunications companies were among utility providers summoned to a meeting with Telecommunications and Energy Minister, Daryl Vaz this morning.

Speaking at the meeting, Managing Director of Flow, Stephen Pryce, said the company is working 24/7 to bring the network up.

Meantime, Chief Executive Director of Digicel, Stephen Murad noted that approximately 65% of customers are back online.
