Detectives are probing the circumstances that led to the shooting death of two men in Petersfield, Westmoreland yesterday.

Dead are 21-year-old Jevaughn Locke and 36-year-old Kemar Lawson, both of the community.

Police say at about 1:25 PM, the men were at home sitting in a room when they were pounced upon by three gunmen, who opened fire hitting them several times.

Lawmen were alerted and officers who responded found the men lying in a pool of blood.

The scene was processed and the bodies removed to the morgue.
