Decline in birth rate has significant implications for the education sector – PM Holness
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has noted that the decline in Jamaica’s birth rate has significant implications for the education sector.
Speaking at the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) awards ceremony today, Mr. Holness pointed to concern about fewer children being enrolled in schools.
While commenting on the transformation of the education sector, which includes improving schools, especially the infrastructure, Mr. Holness referenced the connection of the number of children in schools to how plans are made for establishing more classrooms or building new schools.
