Deadline extended for Chronixx supported Jamcoders summer camp

The deadline to apply for the annual JamCoders summer camp on algorithms and programming, conceptualized by reggae hitmaker Jamar McNaughton better known as Chronixx is extended to January 31.

Geared towards high school students at the 3rd to 5th form levels who have excelled academically, in mathematics and related subjects; the programme returns on June 29 for four weeks in Kingston.

Chronixx idea to start JamCoders was developed after reading about the AddisCoder program in Ethiopia, he then made a generous founding donation to support creation of the program through his C.H.O.R. Foundation.

First held during the Summer of 2022 at UWI Mona campus, JamCoders is administered by AddisCoder Incorporated, as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

The programme provides free dormitory rooms and meals for all student participants and welcomes applications from all areas in Jamaica.

Eligible students can apply at [email protected].
