DBJ launches AgriBiz programme aimed at bringing new growth opportunities to agriculture sector
The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) says it is committed to assisting the agriculture sector in its quest to survive the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia/Ukraine war.
DBJ’s Managing Director, Anthony Shaw, says this commitment to the sector has guided the DBJ’s decision to launch the AgriBiz programme.
Mr. Shaw, who was speaking at the launch ceremony now underway (July 19), explained that the programme is designed to bring new growth opportunities to the agriculture sector.
He said technical assistance will also be provided for persons in the sector.
Meantime, Agriculture Minister, Pearnel Charles jr expressed appreciation for the programme, which he says will play a critical role in rebuilding the sector.
